More than 100 community leaders and residents gathered at the Prince of Peace Church for the "State of Apex" Friday morning.
The event was sponsored by the Triangle Business Journal. Speakers from the Apex Chamber of Commerce and other groups in the area talked about the economy, new businesses coming to town and even healthcare.
Jay Diamond with the Journal said there's one main goal of these forums.
"To let the area residents and business leaders know what's going on in Apex and keep up with their community," Diamond said.
This is one of six "State of" addresses hosted by the Journal in the Triangle. Garner, Sanford, Durham, R-T-P and Chapel Hill are other cities that participated in the event in the past year.
