Raleigh police caught a suspect in a 2008 homicide and another man Friday and charged both with a rape in Cary.
The two suspects arrested are Erick Robles Mendoza and Julio Cesar Chavez. They were arrested after a foot pursuit in a wooded area off of South Wilmington Street Saturday.
Mendoza, 29, was wanted in connection with the June 14, 2008 shooting death of Miguel Najara Martinez.
According to police both men are also being held on charges of first-degree rape and kidnapping from crimes that occurred in Cary.
Officers also arrested Luz Elena Diaz-Flores on charges of harboring a fugitive.
The investigation into the activities of the arrested suspects is continuing.
