Three shooting incidents and one report of shots fired were reported in the same area of Raleigh overnight with one of the incidents leading a high speed chase and arrest.
In one incident, a man reported that he was shot while in the parking lot of 1800 New Bern Avenue. The victim, Bennie Langley, 22, was wounded in the leg.
In another report, Jesse Spain, 48, reported that someone shot him while he walked on New Bern Avenue near Trawick Road. He was wounded in the wrist.
Also, Quentin Freeman, 20, was reportedly shot in the parking lot of the Black Tie Club at 3201 New Bern Ave. He also received wounds to his wrist.
Finally, a call came in that shots were reported between two vehicles traveling on New Bern Avenue in front of WakeMed.
The reports of shots fired near WakeMed led to officers trying to pull over a vehicle matching the description near Buck Jones and Jones Franklin roads. A pursuit led to a final stop near the Lee County line.
Frank Reginal Gaddy was arrested and charged with speeding to elude arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon. The assault charge resulted from Gaddy being accused of trying to cause a collision with the police vehicle, according a press release.
