The Chapel Hill Fire Department responded to a single family home fire Sunday night at 221 N Graham St.
The initial response consisted of five Chapel Hill Fire Apparatus and one command vehicle with 19 personnel. Orange County Emergency Medical Services and Chapel Hill Police Units also responded to assist.
The fire was called in by an occupant who was at home at 11 p.m. when the fire began. The first arriving Chapel Hill fire unit found smoke visible inside the structure. The occupants evacuated the home prior to the fire units' arrival. The first arriving crew searched for the fire and located a small fire in a back bedroom. The fire was extinguished and overhaul was minimal.
Damage to the structure and contents was estimated at $1000.
No reported injuries occurred during the fire.
The cause for the fire is being listed as accidental due to electrical failure.
