FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

The City of Fayetteville is considering a ban on tethering.

Cumberland County passed an ordinance earlier this year prohibiting the tethering of dogs.  Pet owners can still walk their dogs on a leash but they can not tie their animals to any type of stationary object.

Fayetteville City Council will discuss the passing of a similar bill at tonight’s meeting.
