Cumberland County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives arrested a Fort Bragg soldier Wednesday on charges stemming from an October murder in Spring Lake.
Bryant Keith Holmes, 19, is believed to be a member of a Quarter Master Company at Fort Bragg. He was allegedly involved in an Oct. 26 robbery at 1324 Alden Street in Spring Lake that ended in three injuries and one death.
A second suspect, Eric Jervey, Jr., 34, was also arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy and first degree burglary.
The victim, 21-year-old Christopher Bridges-Mitchell, also a Fort Bragg soldier, was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died.
The three others injured by gunfire were Norman V. Brown, 28, Tony Brown, 26, and LaQuan Demar Whitted, 31. All were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment and later released.
