North Carolina Wesleyan College is going paperless to prevent the spread of H1N1 and other flu viruses.

NBC 17 Swine Flu Coverage

The Pandemic Prevention Board within the school is encouraging all professors to collect students' homework through an online program provided by the college. Although this has been done for a number of years, not all teachers made it part of their classroom. This year, more teachers are on board to keep the campus flu-free.

N.C. Wesleyan College officials said that the campus is small but there are a large number of students so they are also taking other precautions. They have hand sanitizing stations in the lunchroom and are planning to also put them into the dorms.

Each building will be cleaned more often than in previous semesters to prevent the spread of germs.

Tonight on NBC 17 News at 6 and 7 pm we'll talk to students to get their reaction to this unusual method of keeping them healthy.
