CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C.
A Linden man has been charged with sexually abusing and raping a 12-year-old girl on numerous occasions.
Danny Murchison, 41, of 528 Circle Drive was arrested Thursday at his home.
Investigators say he raped his victim numerous times in his home between April 2008 and June 2009.
Murchison is charged with 15 counts of first degree rape of a child, 15 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and 15 counts of incest.
He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $1.5 million secured bond.
Investigators say the child's mother was unaware of the crimes being committed against her daughter until the daughter confided in her.
Murchison will make a first court appearance on Friday, June 19.
