As of late Tuesday night, all warnings and watches were cancelled, but showers were still showing up on radar.

The tornado touch down was in Duplin County. According to Warsaw Deputy Fire Chief Joey Burgette, three turkey co-ops sustained damage; one of them was completely leveled. There were no injuries reported. This happened at a turkey farm near Revelle Road in Warsaw.

Turkey farmer Jimmy Dixon said one of the buildings is gone.

"One of the employees that work for me called me and her statement was one of our houses is gone," he said.

Neighbor Tanya Rackley was relieved no one was hurt.

"I was glad it was the turkey houses and not me and my two kids in it," she said.

There are reports of trees down, damaged homes and downed power lines north of Selma. This is in the area of Highway 96 and Cattail Pond Road. There are reports of other storm damage near Highway 96 and NC-42 North.

Local law enforcement reported that a tornado touched down near Albertson, 11 miles southeast of Mount Olive, moving northeast at 20 mph shortly after 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.

As some Johnston County firefighters assembled to respond to complications of Tuesday's storms, they found themselves in the path of danger.

Seven firefighters at the Antioch Fire Department near Middlesex saw what seemed like a possible tornado traveling their way along Highway 39. They closed the bays of their firehouse and crawled underneath the trucks to shelter themselves.

"We were hoping the building was going to stand," said Kendall Hocutt, Antioch fire chief.

The building suffered some minor rooftop damage, and the fire crews quickly set out to help neighbors.

"At that time, obviously we got the crews together and started spanning out to see how much damage there was in other areas," Hocutt said.

They got reports of power outages and downed power lines, toppled trees, and at least one home destroyed. The department was not aware of any deaths or serious injuries Tuesday evening.

Red Cross volunteers set up at the fire station, ready to help any neighbors with food, clothing, or housing needs. They said they expect to survey more damage to homes Wednesday.

There were reports that a tornado touched down on Rock Ridge School Road in Wilson County around 5 p.m. Law enforcement officials have closed down a stretch of Rock Ridge School Road. We are told 3 residential homes are damaged, two destroyed, according eyewitnesses. Officials say they received one reported injury in Wilson County.

Thanks for keeping us inform. Just a little note to fix the spelling of the word Tornado in the following part of the article above. Thanks. A Torndao Warning is in effect for Chatham County until 6:30 p.m. and a Torando Warning is in effect for Wilson, Edgecombe and Nash Counties until 6:45p.m.
