DUNN, N.C. --

A Dunn teen has been arrested and charged with the murder of his step-father, according to Dunn Police.

Police arrived to the home on 112-A Fairfield Circle shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived they found 33-year-old Edward Christopher Lancaster with a single gunshot wound. Lancaster was taken to Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Officers arrested Lancaster's stepson, 17-year-old Matthew Logan Suter, and charged him with second degree murder in connection with the shooting. He's being held at the Harnett County Law Enforcement Center under a $150,000 secured bond.
