CaptionOne man was found dead and another injured in a car blocking traffic on Ramsey Street Tuesday.
At about 2 a.m. Tuesday, police received a call regarding shots fired in the parking lot of a strip mall located at Ramsey Street and Meadowcroft Drive.
Upon arrival to the scene, officers located a Silver Hyundai Elantra blocking traffic in the roadway on Ramsey Street; requiring the closure of outbound lanes and the re-routing of northbound traffic.
DeJuan Pierre McLean, 22, of Fiske Drive, was found shot in the driver's seat of the vehicle. McLean died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
A second male, whose name is being withheld at this time, was discovered in the passenger's seat of the vehicle. He was transferred to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, for treatment of gunshot wounds. He remains hospitalized at this time.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Fayetteville Homicide Squad.
