Credit: AP Online
WASHINGTON

Nearly 1,000 Reebok hockey helmets are being recalled because the chinstrap can disengage while and use, posing as a head and neck injury risk.

The recall includes hockey helmets distributed by Reebok-CCM Hockey U.S. Inc.  The helmets that are being recalled have a HECC sticker with a date code JUN-2013.

The helmets were sold at sporting good stores nationwide and consumers should stop using the recalled helmets and return them to the store for a replacement.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

For a complete list of model numbers included in the recall, visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s Web site.
