RTP, N.C. -

IBM and North Carolina State University have teamed up to improve education through the help of technology.

The groups met Friday to talk about the new online program that gives access to online education programs for all teachers and students in the state. Lou Masi, the Director of IBM's Global University Program, said he hopes this will allow for all students to have the same opportunities to succeed.

"So what we want to do is level the playing field for students. There are brilliant students at every socio-economic level and there are many brilliant students who don't have access," said Masi.

IBM officials said these programs will apply to students of all grade levels from kindergarten to college.
