Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of others? Do you have a desire to build and improve the community in which you live? Then you need to attend the "Mentoring Matters Conference"! This invitation has been sent out to community agencies, businesses, local government, the Faith community, schools, etc. Anyone interested in mentoring and providing services for youth is welcome.
The Exceptional Children's Program in Johnston County Schools is offering a conference to provide information and training on how you can help our young people grow into successful citizens within our community. Details are below:
Mentoring Matters Conference
Friday, Oct. 23
Registration: 8:30 am
Conference: 9:00 - 12:00
3rd Floor Team Room, Glenn Building
501 S. Second St.
Come learn about mentoring as a means of helping struggling students in our county. Identify existing programs, as well as gaps in service throughout the county. Meet with other interested participants in your area of the county to develop strategies to support at-risk youth.
