Authorities are searching the Grand Canyon National Park for a Clayton man who was reported missing there on Friday.
Family said Andrew Brunelli, 43, had traveled there alone on a hiking trip, and authorities said he hasn't been seen since August 30.
Searchers later found Brunelli's rental car near a hiking trail, and on Sunday, sent out additional ground searchers in addition to aerial searches.
"It's been really tough, especially waiting," said Brunelli's father, Caesar Brunelli.
Caesar Brunelli said his son was supposed to be home from his trip by Thursday and added that he and his wife are flying out to the Grand Canyon on Monday.
"He was all hyped about going on his vacation and doing some hiking," said Jerry Marshall, Brunelli's neighbor.
Family said Brunelli had been to the Grand Canyon National Park before and was an avid outdoorsman.
