Durham Man Crashes Car, Charged With DWI

DURHAM, N.C. -

A Durham man was charged with DWI and possession of cocaine after crashing his vehicle Wednesday evening.

Durham police say they responded to a single car accident on Fayetteville Street near Brant shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Investigators say a 1979 Chevrolet Caprice, driven by 29-year-old Alvis Rosser, was travelling north on Fayetteville St. when it ran off the road and struck a utility pole.

Rosser was taken to Duke Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has been charged with DWI and Possession of Schedule II cocaine.
